Rob Bordman led Ossett Albion to victory for the second week running. He also unsurprisingly scored a spectacular goal in a very easy win against a poor Prescot Cables side.

The first half was played at a fast tempo and Albion took the lead in the 10th minute when a ball over the top found Bordman. He held off a strong challenge before lobbing Marcus Burgess in the Prescot goal.

On the half hour mark Burgess just got his finger-tips to another shot from Bordman to keep Prescot in the game. He was unable to do anything to prevent Albion doubling their lead four minutes before the interval when the ball was laid off to Ross Hardaker who finished into the top corner.

In the second half the expected fightback from Prescot never happened and it was Albion who dominated the play and could have added at least four or five more goals if they had taken all their chances.

It was Bordman who finished the scoring in the 64th minute when he added his second and Albion’s third from the penalty spot after Jimmy Eyles had been pulled down in the box .
