Jake Currie hit five as Hallam returned to winning ways with a 9-1 demolition of Worsbrough Bridge in Barnsley.

Currie, who had to stand-in as Hallam’s goalkeeper in the midweek defeat at Pontefract Collieries, scored twice in the first half before adding a further three straight after half-time.

Also on the score-sheet for Hallam were Michael Blythen, James Reed, Kieran Watson, Micah Bishop.

New Bridge attacker Jack Mawson scored a penalty for Worsbrough.

A last minute goal condemned Yorkshire Amateur to a 2-1 home defeat to Ollerton Town. Adam Shaw’s penalty had seemed to have earned the Ammers a point.
