Farsley Celtic will host Ossett Town in the eagerly-anticipated all-West Yorkshire play-off final tomorrow.

There will be probably more than 1000 inside for Throstle Nest for one of the biggest Evo Stik clashes involving West Yorkshire sides in recent memory.

A place in the Evo Stik Premier Division alongside Division One South champions Shaw Lane AFC is at stake.

Farsley can rectify missing out on the title on the final day with a victory.

Team of the season Ossett have nothing to lose and can complete a remarkable journey that Grant Black has taken them on. The bright young manager picked up a side that was relegation fodder and turned them into promotion candidates in the space of 14 months.

Ossett have an psychological edge as they won 3-1 at Throstle Nest on Easter Monday – a result that effectively blew Farsley’s hopes of winning the title.

Grant Black said “We look ahead to Saturday where we face, for me, the best team in the league.

“We have no time to dwell on what we have done,. We now prepare to go to Farsley and try to finish the job. I am so proud of the boys, they push themselves to the limit every game and as I’ve said if we continue to do that no matter what happens on Saturday, the future will be bright for the club.”
