Farsley Celtic have signed two more young stars from Division One North side Brighouse Town.

Defender Jimmy Pollard and right-back Kurt Harris are reunited with Luke Parkin and Ben Atkinson, who made the move across West Yorkshire earlier this week.

On Pollard, Adam Lakeland said: “Jimmy has been one of Brighouse Town’s standout performers for the past couple of seasons following his departure from Bradford City.

“He is a centre back who likes to attack the ball, but is equally comfortable in possession and distributing from the back which fits in with our philosophy.”

On Harris, Lakeland added: “Kurt is an athletic young right back with great energy to get up and down the pitch. He has had a couple of very good seasons at Brighouse Town and in my opinion will easily make the transition to the Premier Division.”

Despite losing a few players, Farsley’s team looks strong as the likes of James Walshaw, Graeme McKibbin, Lewis Nightingale, Danny Ellis and Jordan Deacey are also signed on.

  1. Was a touch concerned at the ones ‘not staying’ at Throstle Nest, but (genuinely) no disrespect, but the ones remaining are the spine/core of the team. 2 new younger, taller fullbacks, and a proper centre half or 2 . Sav did a good job for us filling in, but better he go play up front elsewhere regularly for his sake.
Celts are looking good/strong again for 2017-18
