It is a new era for Shaw Lane. They have said goodbye to their Shaw Lane base and are beginning life at Sheerian Park, the home of Athersley Rec. Craig Elliott has assembled a good squad again so it is clear what kind of season they are hoping to have.

Elliott is the most successful Yorkshire-based Non League manager in recent memory. Since starting his semi-professional managerial career with Glasshoughton Welfare in 2010, he has won four promotions – one with Glasshoughton and three with Shaw Lane (two being also title wins). He has also a Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup on his list of trophies. Success runs right Elliott’s football career and there’s bound to be more on the horizon.
