Former Garforth Town striker Mark Simpson has signed for Worksop

Worksop Town fans will be delighted that silent assassin Mark Simpson has signed for them as it means he will be no longer scoring against them.

Simpson, who was inundated with offers after it was revealed he was a free agent, has been a real thorn in the side of Worksop for the past few seasons as he regularly scored against them for Garforth Town.

The deadly striker chose to leave Frickley Athletic on Wednesday night after spending pre-season training and playing for them after choosing to leave Garforth.

Simpson could make his Worksop debut when the Tigers host Maltby Main on Saturday.
