Josh Snowden sparked scenes of euphoria after scoring the last minute winner to hand Ossett Town a very long-awaited derby day victory over arch rivals Ossett Albion.

The last time Town beat Albion was Boxing Day 2013 when Craig Elliott was in charge at Ingfield.

Danny South had appeared to have won Albion their first point of the campaign after heading home a late equaliser to cancel out Martin Pembleton’s opener for Town.

Scarborough Athletic lost 3-1 to South Shields in front of nearly 1700 fans. Nathan Valentine scored for the Seadogs, who had Max Wright sent off for blasting the ball into the crowd.

Goole AFC lost 4-0 at Colne.
