Reeves scores to defeat old club

Evo Stik Premier Division

Shaw Lane AFC 1-0 Farsley Celtic

Shaw Lane AFC striker Damian Reeves

Super-sub Damian Reeves scored within seconds of coming on against his former club Farsley Celtic to lift Shaw Lane up to third.

The defeat in the tight contest was Farsley’s first under their new manager Adam Lakeland.

Reeves, who was a vital member of the Farsley team that won promotion to the Conference National in 2007, capitalised on a defensive mistake to put the Ducks ahead in the 71st minute.

Farsley threw the kitchen sink in the final few minutes. Adam Clayton hit the crossbar with a header before Shaw Lane goalkeeper Jon Stewart made a tremendous save to prevent Ben Atkinson from scoring.
