Stocksbridge Park Steels 4-3 Leek Town

Joe Lumsden was fantastic for Stocksbridge

Key man Joe Lumsden plucked an victory out of the jaws of defeat for Stocksbridge after scoring two goals in the last ten minutes of the epic encounter with Leek Town.

The Steels trailed three times at Bracken Moor before Lumsden muscled in to steal the headlines and three points for his side.

Every-time Leek scored, Stocksbridge hit back. Alex Wiles got the first equaliser in the 13th minutes, literally 60 seconds after Leek had taken the lead.

Leek’s second lead lasted four minutes as Scott Ruthven levelled on this occasion.

Leek went ahead again after the hour and although the lead would last longer this time, Stocksbridge would hit back.

Ruthven provided the assist for Lumsden’s leveller. Rory Coleman then hit the post from a free kick before Lumsden netted the winner.
