Pickering Town’s Russ Parker got two goals

Young Russ Parker scored twice as Pickering Town defeated Handsworth Parramore 3-0 in North Yorkshire.

Joe Danny added the third goal in the second half to confirm Pickering’s rise to third spot.

Joel Sutton’s second half equaliser secured a 1-1 draw for Bridlington Town at home to Bottesford Town.

Promotion-chasing Yorkshire Amateur smashed Retford United 8-0 with Danny Maw netting a hat-trick. Daniel Naidole (2), Fernando Moke, Leon Henry and Chris Hitchings also netted.

Cameron Johnson’s eight minute hat-trick in the last minute saw Rossington Main come from behind to dramatically win 5-3 at Armthorpe Welfare.

In the FA Vase, Penistone Church lost at Barnton, Thackley were beaten at Padiham.

However, Tom White’s double earned Liversedge a 2-1 win at Prestwich Heys and Hallam won at Abbey Hey in the replay thanks to Daniel State’s penalty.

  1. Well done the pikes, great result, could have had one or two more. Sets it up nicely for Saturday. Expected a sterner test from handsworth if im honest, i’d tipped them to win the league after seeing them end of last season at their place against us. They had some very good young players with a good mix of experience. On that performance I may have to tip us to win it now!
