Worsbrough Bridge centre-back Joe Singleton has joined Athersley
Athersley Rec have made a stellar signing in Worsbrough Bridge centre-back Joe Singleton, one of the best young defenders in the NCEL.
Singleton had been with Worsbrough since July 2016 and he went onto play a key role in their successful survival bid as vice-captain.
He has been subject to interest from other clubs previously, but he has always turned down advances so he could continue learning his trade at Park Road.
Prior to joining Worsbrough, Singleton came through the youth system at Stocksbridge Park Steels.
