Morris enjoys memorable 1st league win

Toolstation NCEL Division One

Young Worsbrough Bridge midfielder Josh McKeegan

Worsbrough Bridge showed great character to come from behind to win 3-1 at AFC Emley and earn Lee Morris his first league victory since taking charge at Park Road.

Worsbrough were trailing to an early second half goal from Emley’s Jordan Townend. A Brad Duxbury own goal brought the scores level.

Young Josh McKeegan scored a wonderful individual goal to place Worsbrough in front before debutant James Handley wrapped the victory up at the death.

Nostell Miners Welfare were desperately unlucky to lose 3-2 at home to Shirebrook Town.

A spirited Nostell led 2-0 at the break. A piece of magic from Nathan Smith put them ahead before Carl Heard scored a wonderful volley.

However, Shirebrook fought back to take the points.
