Scarborough Athletic have signed young Ossett Town centre-back Josh Snowden.

The 20-year-old arrives from Ossett Town, having made 27 appearances since joining the Ingfielders at the start of the 2017/18 season from Thackley.

The young defender started for Ossett in the Evo-Stik North game against Boro back in August and the Integro League Cup tie in late November, but was on the bench as Steve Kittrick’s side won 3-1 in the return league fixture at the Flamingo Land Stadium on 16 December.

Snowden stood out for the Dennyboys last season, winning the Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and Manager’s Player of the Year awards for the NCEL Premier Division side.

The defender has also spent several years with National League side Guiseley as part of their Under-21s setup.
