Wing wizard Rob Youhill scored twice in leaders Knaresborough Town’s 4-1 at East Yorkshire Carnegie.

The result is a big one as because second-placed Eccleshill United won at third-placed Grimsby Borough and Yorkshire Amateur lost at Shirebrook, Knaresborough nine points in the promotion spots with a game-in-hand.

Youhill, the former Harrogate Railway star, is enjoying a new lease of life at Manse Lane and he struck twice in the first half to set Paul Stansfield’s men on their way.

Ben Cohen and Steve Bromley completed the victory.

Curtis Mann’s late goal earned Rossington Main a 1-0 win at Ollerton Town.

Nostell Miners Welfare were beaten 1-0 by Dronfield Town.

Goals from Jack Williams, Adam Daughtrey, Jason Short and Lloyd Gelsthorpe struck for Swallownest in their 4-0 win over FC Bolsover.
