Lee Swift and Liam Owen got the goals as resurgent Nostell Miners Welfare moved further clear of trouble, courtesy of a superb 2-0 win at AFC Emley.

The experienced Swift broke the deadlock on the brink of the half-time whistle. He ran from deep and ended his run by scoring.

It was then the turn of the young to add the second, on the hour mark. Owen was able to score after great work by Joe Thornton.

The result is another sign of just how good a job joint managers Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton are doing at Nostell.

Kieran Hirst scored the last minute equaliser as Worsbrough Bridge secured an impressive 2-2 draw with Grimsby Borough.

Bridge fought back twice as Jack Mawson had earlier equalised.

On Tuesday night, a late Sam Cook winner at Shirebrook Town pushed Knaresborough Town closer to the Division One title.
