Maltby celebrate fifth placed finish

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division

Maltby Goalkeeper Josh Lill receiving one of his two awards

Goalkeeper Josh Lill went home with two awards as Maltby Main reflected on an amazing season which saw them record their best finish since the 1993.

Maltby finished fifth, an incredible achievement considering the late managerial change in pre-season which saw Mark Askwith and Scott Mason replace Jordan Hall.

Main came straight out of the blocks and were never in relegation danger.

Lill won the supporter’s player of the season and committee’s player of the season.

The management’s Player of the season was won by Brad Morton.

The prestigious player’s player of the season award was taken home by Joe Austin.

There were also a host of special awards to recognise a number of loyal volunteers:

Nick Dunhill

Twenty Five years as our programme designer and editor, amongst other duties he has fulfilled too during.

Alan Marshall

Fifty years service to the club as supporter, volunteer and committee member.

Bren Marshall

In recognition of voluntary services to the club.
