Harrogate Railway have received a reprieve from relegation to Division One. This was confirmed in the league’s draft constitution for next season.

Railway fans will be painting Starbeck red tonight as the news averts a second relegation in three seasons and gives new manager Brian Davey a much brighter platform to build from.

Their reprieve also sets up the mouth-watering derby with Knaresborough Town for the first time in a competitive fixture. This will also see Davey take on Knaresborough for the first time since ending his eight-stint in charge at Manse Lane.

A few eyebrows have been raised in Division One as Skegness Town have joined the league. For the likes of Campion, it is a three-hour trip. Although the length of travelling is not good, it should be remembered that Skegness is only 20 minutes further on from Louth Town, who were members of the league for a few years.
