Vill Powell with new Brighouse Town goalkeeper Jordan Porter
Highly-rated goalkeeper Jordan Porter has come ‘home’ after signing for Vill Powell’s Brighouse Town.
Young Porter replaces Chandler Hallwood at his hometown club, who he previously played for a few years ago before spells with FC Halifax Town, Spennymoor Town and Scarborough Athletic.
Powell said: “A Goalkeeper was the clubs top priority for 18/19 season and Jordan is someone who I have been interested in since I joined the club but obviously he was playing in the Conference North so my attentions went elsewhere.
“I kept tabs on him and fortunately despite other offers at a higher level, the fact we are local and familiar to him means we have been able to bring him to the club.”
