Former Selby manager Phil Jones, with chairman Ralph Pearse, has sponsored the club’s new away shirt

Former boss Phil Jones is backing Selby Town this season as he has sponsored their new black and white away kit.

Successful businessman Jones’ company Blu Skye Villas dons the front of the new jerseys. Blu Skye  Villas offer five star, luxury apartments in the Philipines.

Popular Jones was a safe pair of hands during his stint in charge during 2012 between the reins of Gary Paton and Ian Dring. For the past few years, he has been a regular at nearly all the home games, despite living in Grimsby.

Chairman Ralph Pearse and Jones will hope the new shirts will help spur their brilliant young manager Christian Fox on this season. Fox is aiming to take Selby on a magical journey in their centenary season.

  1. Being a toon fan I can honestly say I did not have any influence in Phil’s choice of colours but I think they are fantastic Thank you Phil for your support and good luck in your new adventure ahead. I am sure we will keep in touch as you set up the phillipines branch of the Selby toon supporters club
