Morris continues Bridge’s brilliant start

Toolstation NCEL Division One

Skegness Town 1-2 Worsbrough Bridge

Player/Manager Lee Morris has led Worsbrough to their best start to a season since the final throes of the Chris Hilton era

Lee Morris led from the front by scoring the winner for Worsbrough Bridge at Skegness Town to continue his club’s best start to a season since the Chris Hilton era.

Bridge sit joint top with Nostell Miners Welfare and Winterton Town with 12 points from five games  – form the club has not seen since Hilton’s fourth and final campaign in charge in 2013.

Although there is a long way to go, the parallels with Hilton’s very successful reign are clear. Morris has built a side made up of Barnsley-based lads, with a strong social set-up, just like Hilton did.

Current Stocksbridge Park Steels chief Hilton got results with that template and it appears Morris is guiding Bridge in the right direction with the same thought-track.

His side are willing to run through brick walls and that showed again as they fought back from a goal down in the first half. Young and talented midfielder Jack Wilson ensured the sides were level at the break.

Morris then made himself the hero in the latter stages.
