The saviour of Goole AFC, Carl Stewart, has joined Evo Stik North outfit Brighouse Town.
The striker scored both goals for Goole in the final day winner-takes-all contest with Hall Road Rangers which saw the Viking avoid relegation from the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division at Hall Road’s expense.
Stewart has tested himself at Evo Stik level before having had spells with the likes of Scarborough Athletic and Ossett Town. He is perhaps best known for his associations with Tadcaster Albion and Pickering Town.
Stewart had an injury-hit spell with Selby Town at the start of last season before the move to Goole.
