Wing wizard Richard Collier will be playing for his local club this season after signing for Nostell Miners Welfare.
The highly-rated Collier joins Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton’s men after three brilliant seasons with Hemsworth Miners Welfare – who he joined after bursting on the NCEL scene at Glasshoughton Welfare in 2016.
It is a fantastic signing for Dodsworth and Houghton who are hoping to continue the resurgent of Nostell.
So far from the team that finished fifth last season, Jack Cowgill, Lewis Akeister, Billy Mole, Ben Teasdale, Adam Hayton, Jack Owen, Kane Reece, Andy Horbury and star defender Rhys Meynell are confirmed to be staying.
Two more new signings, plus further retentions are expected to be announced at a later date.
