Manchester United under 23s goalkeeper Jacob Carney will be playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels on loan until the end of September.
It is quite a coup for Stocksbridge to sign Carney, who will cover for Ed Hall as the stopper continues to recover from the serious injury he picked up last season.
Carney is the son of the Andy, the goalkeeper who spent 13 years with the Steels.
Stocksbridge are likely to have also been helped in recruiting Carney by United head of academy Nick Cox. Cox previously held the same role for Sheffield United and was regularly seen at Bracken Moor during his time with the Blades.
