Waud haunts old club to send Goole through in FA Cup

Reagan Waud scored twice against his former club as free-scoring Goole AFC won 3-0 in their FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round at Hall Road Rangers.

Waud struck in both halves before Josh Schofield added the third for Goole, who have now scored nine goals in two games. Terry Barwick and Matty Bloor’s men will face either Dunston or Consett in the next round.

Danny Edwards’ late equaliser meant Nostell Miners Welfare were able to take FA Vase 2018 runners-up Stockton Town to a replay.

Heroic Nostell twice fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against the Northern League giants. Adam Hayton scored Nostell’s first equaliser.

Jonathan Rimmington’s super Liversedge romped into the next round with a 5-1 demolition of Abbey Hey. Joe Kenny and Michael Bottomley got doubles, with Joe Walton getting a solitary goal.

Eccleshill United won for the first time in the FA Cup since 2011 in quite exceptional circumstances. Key man Jonny Irving was red carded in the fourth minute following a bad tackle, but Eccleshill were still able to beat Bootle 2-1 thanks to Antony Brown’s double.

Bridlington Town are through after coming from behind to win 3-1 at West Auckland Town. Lewis Dennison and Joe McFadyen (2) scored.

Silsden dragged Northwich Victoria back to Yorkshire after Aiden Kirby’s last minute equaliser secured a 2-2 draw and a replay. Kirby had given Silsden an early lead, but that was cancelled out.

Knaresborough Town were beaten 3-0 at home by Newcastle Benfield.

Campion’s first ever FA Cup tie ended in a 3-1 loss at City of Liverpool. Andy McCreadie had given Campion an early lead, but three second half goals ended the Bradford-based side’s hopes.
