Brown heads Pontefract to win over Taddy

A first half Scott Brown bullet header was all Pontefract Collieries needed to see off Curtis Woodhouse’s Tadcaster Albion at Beechnut Lane.

The solitary goal victory is their first of the new BetVictor North West campaign.

Brown broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute after rising brilliantly to head past Michael Ingham.

The match was fairly end-to-end with both teams having plenty of chances.

Ossett United lost 1-0 at Dunston, while Pickering Town took an early second minute lead against Ramsbottom United but lost 2-1. 

In Monday night game, Brighouse Town lost 1-0 at home to Marske United.
