Tom Greaves’ double was not enough for Ossett United as a last minute goal earned Thornaby a FA Cup replay at Ingfield on Tuesday night.

Bradford (Park Avenue) legend Greaves scored in both halves. His opener was thanks to Alex McQuade whose pass allowed him to turn and finish.

Adam Preston equalised straight after the interval and it took until midway through the second half for Ossett to recapture the lead.

Elliott Harrison was the driving force as he beat two men before reaching the penalty area and firing the ball low and hard to Greaves to place it home.

Ossett were marching into the second qualifying round until Preston’s header in the final throes rescued Thornaby.

Craig Parry’s Pontefract Collieries are through. The Colls galloped to a 3-1 victory at Glossop North End, with Layton Swaine, Connor Smythe and John Cyrus scored.

Tadcaster Albion also need a replay after an impressive 2-2 draw with Ashton United. Tadcaster led twice through Kevin Dos Santos and Ioan Evans.

Scarborough Athletic face a second bout with Marske United after a last minute equaliser cancelled out Matthew Walters’ opener.

Liversedge lost 2-0 to late goals from Stockton, while Anthony Wilson put Maltby Main ahead before Ramsbottom United to win 5-1.
