Logan scores on return as Bridlington win

Bridlington striker Billy Logan scored a trademark header 24 minutes into his return

Billy Logan scored on his Bridlington Town return as Brett Agnew’s men won 2-0 at Barton Town.

It took just 24 minutes for the striker to score with a trademark header in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division clash.

Brid sealed the three points with a late goal, during a mad three minute which saw Barton suffer a cruel twist of fate.

Barton thought they were about to equalise after winning a penalty. However, reliable stopper James Hitchcock saved the effort and Brid countered and Joe McFadyen was the goal-scorer from the quick-fire move.

Injury-hit Garforth Town lost 7-1 at Silsden. Aidan Kirby’s hat-trick, plus goals from Jake Taylor-Mountford, Dan Illingworth and Jay Benn led Silsden to victory. Adam Priestley’s penalty was a consolation for Garforth.
