Injured star striker Danny Frost is set to be de-iced by Stocksbridge Park Steels before Christmas after being told he does not need an operation.

Frost went to see the medical experts on Tuesday after rigorous tests and scans on his knee he has been given the all-clear.

The legendary former Shaw Lane and Ossett Town forward will now work with Shaun Handisides to get fit for BetVictor South East football.

In the meantime he will continue to help Chris Hilton on the side-lines where he has been a vocal presence all season.

When fit he will return to a Steels side doing really well in the league.

Frost was meant to be fit for the start of the season, but his knee problems flared up again and there were rumours of him flying to America to prolong his exceptional Non League career.
