Two goals literally on the stroke of half-time secured a massive 2-1 victory for Ossett United over Dunston.

Ossett’s second consecutive BetVictor North West lifts them above Dunston and further away from danger.

Andy Monkhouse’s header from a free kick set Ossett on their way. Within a minute, Tom Greaves had tapped home after Corey Gregory’s effort had been parried.

A Mark Fitzpatrick penalty gave Dunston late hope, but Ossett held on.

The local derby between Tadcaster Albion and Pontefract Collieries finished goal-less. Tadcaster played with ten men for most of the encounter as Adam Porritt was sent off for denying a goal-scoring opportunity.

Steve Roberts’ first game at the helm of Pickering Town ended in defeat as despite Iwan Heeley’s wonder goal, the Pikes went down 3-2 to Ramsbottom United.

Flynn McNaughton got Pickering’s other goal.

Josh Grant was on the score-sheet in Brighouse Town’s 3-1 defeat at Marske United.
