Knaresborough Town’s superb 3-0 beating of Toolstation NCEL Premier Division leaders Staveley Miners Welfare provided the latest twist in the top flight, while Winterton Rangers took control of the top spot in Division One.

First half goals from Dan Thirkell, Rob Youhill and Luke Robinson secured a brilliant victory for Paul Stansfield’s men.

In Division One, Winterton retook the leaders’ position as two late goals earned them a 2-0 win at Selby Town.

That was a tense affair which could have gone either way. Winterton wasted several good first half chances. Selby came strong as the second half wore on and opportunities followed, but a sucker punch close range tap-in from Luke Anderson, a Selby throwback from the Dave Ricardo era, placed Winterton ahead with ten minutes to go.

With goalkeeper Dylan Parkin even up for a corner in the literal last few seconds, Winterton counter-attacked and Craig Nelthorpe scored in the empty net.

Back in the Premier Division, Jonathan Rimmington’s Liversedge smashed Albion Sports 6-0 with Alfie Raw getting a hat-trick. Ollie Fearon (2) and Joe Walton also netted.

Nathan Keightley’s first half strike kept Penistone Church third with the 1-0 win over Thackley.

It was the same score-sheet at Yorkshire Amateur who beat Grimsby Borough thanks to Matt Dempsey.

Joe McFadyen’s last minute winner saw Bridlington Town snatch a 2-1 victory at AFC Mansfield.

In Division One, Campion remain in the mix for promotion as Danny Facey and Aidan Kirby secured a 2-1 win at Rossington Main.
