Captain Ryan Gothard has pledged his future to Selby Town.
Centre-back Gothard was one of Christian Fox’s first signings as Selby’s manager three years ago.
He was playing for Sporting Knavesmire he is arguably Fox’s most successful export from the York League having been captain through Selby’s transformation from a middle of the road team to title challengers.
He was also captain of the 2018 Selby team which reached the West Riding County Cup final for the first time in over 20 years.
Gothard is the second player to commit Selby as star striker Liam Flanagan was revealed earlier this week.
