Title-winner Brown joins Scarborough coaching staff

2013 title-winner David Brown has joined Scarborough Athletic’s coaching staff as player/first team coach.

Brown was a member of Rudy Funk’s NCEL Premier Division winning-side and he returns a club now managed by Darren Kelly.

Brown, whose career has also took in spells with Bradford City, Eastwood Town, Guiseley, Tadcaster Albion and Hyde United (under Kelly), has coaching experience from Bradford.

There has been a spree of movement at Scarborough in the past week. Long-serving Dave Merris has left , while Kian Spence and Luke Porritt have committed to the club.

Michael Coulson has also been confirmed as club captain, with Harry Coates as vice-captain.
