Young forward Hunter joins Campion

New Campion striker Sean Hunter

Campion have pulled off a huge coup after persuading former Garforth Town striker Sean Hunter to join.

Young Hunter, the son of ex-Glasshoughton Welfare and Garforth manager Rob, has turned down other clubs to sign for the Toolstation NCEL Division One promotion hopefuls.

The striker, who scored over 20 goals last season, finished the aborted campaign with Thackley.

He is Campion’s first marquee signing of the summer considering his status as one of the league’s most promising players.

Lee Ashforth and James Bicknell’s attack looks even more fearsome.

They already have the likes of Mohammad Qasim, Aidan Kirby, Marcus Day and Luke Harrop at the disposal.

Hunter already knows at least Aiden Kearsley and Luke McCrum from his Garforth Town days.
