Phillips at the double for Ferriby

New North Ferriby striker Scott Phillips

Scott Phillips seems to be picking up where he left off after a double in North Ferriby’s 3-1 home victory over Albion Sports.

Phillips, back in Non League Football after a three-year hiatus, was at his prolific best in the win.

Phillips pounced in the fifth minute by placing home an unmissable chance from a few yards after strike-partner Danny East had cantered down the right-side and sent a low cross into the box.

East was able to place his name on the score-sheet as he doubled Ferriby’s lead as he struck gold after some fine build-up play.

Ben McCready’s spectacular top corner free kick pulled a goal back for Albion on the stroke of half-time.

But Phillips ensured Ferriby ended victorious as on the hour mark, he ran onto a through ball. Two touches later and the striker had sent the ball into the left-hand bottom corner.
