The Toolstation Northern Counties East League have named the Fair Play Awards after their former chairman Dave Morrall.
Mr Morrall, an ex-Premier League assistant referee, has always been a strong advocate of fair play. The Fair Play Awards were one of several initiatives or rules the NCEL introduced over his nearly two decades as chairman.
Mr Morrall stepped down recently because of ill health and the Fair Play Award is to be named in his honour.
The new chairman of the NCEL is Brian Jones, the former FA council member.
