Play-offs hero Glavin strengthens Glasshoughton squad

He’s back: Conor Glavin has returned to Glasshoughton Welfare

Glasshoughton Welfare have brought one of their 2017/18 play-offs heroes back to the club.

Conor Glavin has returned to Leeds Road from Emley AFC after two years away which includes a season at Penistone Church.

Glavin, the son of Barnsley legend Ronnie, was a vital member of Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars’ side which unexpectedly gate-crashed the 2018 Toolstation NCEL Division One play-offs before losing to Grimsby Borough in the semi-finals.

The midfielder could help provide the goals Glasshoughton have been looking for as he hit over 20 for them during the play-offs season.
