Luke Francis enjoyed the debut dreams are made of as he scored twice as Luke Forgione incredibly guided fairly new-look Worsbrough Bridge to a 3-0 victory over Skegness Town.

The win was Forgione’s first as Worsbrough boss and also the club’s first victory of the campaign which had yielded just one point in five games.

The additional backstory to the game saw Skegness initially told not to bother travelling before just 4pm as the clash was postponed because of a wet and wild forecast. A spectacular u-turn was then performed and it was game-on.

For Worsbrough, it was certainly worth getting the game on. Ex-Handsworth defender or striker Francis scored two quick-fire goals around the half-hour mark. Striker Sam Agar then wrapped up the win on the hour.

Hall Road Rangers surrendered a two-goal half-time lead in the 4-2 defeat to Hallam at Haworth Park.

Richard Medcalf and Chris Murray placed Hall Road in front before Hallam’s fight-back. Chris Wood’s double, Kieran Watson’s solitary goal and Aiden Marshall’s own goal helped Hallam collect the three points.

Sam Nelson put Glasshoughton Welfare ahead at Rossington Main, but they were beaten 4-1. Jordan Buckham (2), Jason Stokes and Jack Watson scored.
