Tadcaster Albion came from behind to beat Prescot Cables 3-1 and celebrate their second victory of the Division One North West campaign.

Tadcaster were hit by an early missile as Matty Hamilton headed Prescot ahead in the eighth minute.

Paul Quinn’s side responded straightaway. Junayd Pandor did all the hard work and he crossed for Simon Russell to score.

Prescot were reduced to ten men late in the first half as James Edgar saw red for his challenge on Kain Rogerson.

The Brewers seized the lead shortly after half-time. A corner was kept in play by Bailey Thompson who crossed into the middle of the penalty area. The ball pinged about before Andy Milne fired into the bottom corner.

Tadcaster were able to see the match out with relative ease as Thompson rose to head home James Ngoe’s delivery with 20 minutes remaining.

There was no luck for Pickering Town who lost 4-0 at the league’s FA Cup heroes Marine.

Michael Coulson’s goal was a mere consolation when Scarborough Athletic were beaten 4-1 at Basford United in the Premier Division.
