Swedish defender in trio signings made by Garforth

A Swedish defender is among three signings made by Garforth Town in the past few days.

Centre-back Kevin Terhaerdt used to play for Ytterhogdal IK who are well known to long-term Non League Yorkshire readers as they used to be managed ex-Garforth manager Adie Costello who now back at Ytterhogdal as head of recruitment.

Terhaerdt belongs to the i2i academy and he briefly played for Harrogate Railway’s first team last year..

The two other players were involved in Garforth’s 3-1 Toolstation NCEL Premier Division victory at Handsworth on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Aaron Burn took suspended Toby Wells’ place between the sticks having signed on dual-registration terms from Tadcaster Albion.

Young midfielder or striker Ryan Foster came on as a second half substitute at Handsworth. He previously played with Tadcaster as well as the under 23 sides of Harrogate Town and Railway and the York City shadow squad.
