The Toolstation NCEL are aiming to restart on December 8th, if Government restrictions allow.
The current lockdown measures are due to end on December 2nd, but could be extended.
A Saturday 5th December restart has been ruled out regardless of Government restrictions due to concerns over “player welfare and safety”.
The NCEL said: “Club representatives expressed concern that the scheduled Saturday matches would be too soon to play after lockdown ends…”
Starting again on the 8th gives a full week for clubs to fit in training session(s).
The fixtures due to be played on the 5th are now scheduled to take place on either the 8th or 9th.
