County Senior League Cups to be drawn tonight

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League’s April and May cup competitions will be drawn tonight (Saturday) at 5pm.

Those taking part in the League Cup and the Brian Bradley Memorial Cup will learn the identity of their group stage opponents as well as their potential knock-out stages foes.

North Gawber, Oughtibridge, Swinton Athletic and Wombwell Main have been seeded in the League Cup as they share facilities with cricket clubs. If those four clubs were drawn together it would create fixture problems which would be impossible to solve.

Caribbean Sports, Houghton Main reserves, the Showman Ryan Poskitt’s Silkstone United and Wombwell Main reserves are the seeded teams in the Memorial Cup.

The league are hoping to broadcast the draw live on Facebook.

Once the draw is made, the excitement will start moving towards boiling point.

Dodworth Miners Welfare head honcho Darren Young has already said the priority of the competitions are to get players and spectactors having smiles on their faces again after a difficult year.
