The Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League’s 2021 League Cup is set to start on Saturday.

On Friday Non League Yorkshire will be previewing the big kick and we’ll be publishing interviews with several managers involved in the competition.

Although it is disappointing spectators cannot attend matches, it is a positive step in the right direction.

Unless the government’s roadmap is de-railed, spectators should be able to attend matches in the third round of fixtures on April 17th.

By then we should have early indications on how the group stages will pan out and who will reach the quarter-finals.

Clubs can now train again and in terms of this coming Saturday’s behind closed doors matches, Swinton’s clash with Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915 is the pick of the fixtures.
