Pontefract Collieries manager Craig Rouse has retained a further player from last season in attacking midfielder Scott Smith.
The former Guiseley and Nostell Miners Welfare, the twin brother of Yorkshire Amateur star Steve, was part of the Andy Monkhouse era and he follows Jack Lazenby in committing to stay at Beechnut Lane.
The news was announced less than 24 hours after he scored in Ponte’s behind closed doors 6-0 smashing of Wakefield AFC.
Vaughan Redford (2), Eli Hey (2) and Gavin Rothery also found the net for the Colls.
