Brighouse Town’s 2014 title-winning captain Leon Henry has joined Golcar United.

The full-back, who has also won two promotions with Yorkshire Amateur, is one of four new recruits to Ash and Gav Connor’s North West Counties outfit Golcar.

Henry captained Brighouse to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title in 2014. He also scored the goal which secured it.

The signings of Daniel Naidole was recently announced, but Golcar have also added Gregg Porter, goalkeeper Graham McLachlan and Oliver Willets.

Porter is the midfielder who used to play for the likes of Brighouse and Harrogate Railway. He played for Golcar two years ago.

McLachlan was the goalkeeper at Emley for a while and he was also between the sticks when Yorkshire Amateur won promotion out of NCEL Division One in 2018.

Willets arrives from local side Honley.
