Armthorpe Welfare have further strengthened their squad just days before the new season begins.

Centre-back Josh Bucknall is back from a stint with Athersley Rec – rejoining the club he served from 2017 and 2019.

Defender Alex Varley and Sam Race have re-signed from last season’s team.

Dodworth Miners Welfare striker Liam Owen, the ex-Nostell Miners Welfare and Ossett Town man, has also arrived along with former Rossington Main player James Bytheway.

Armthorpe manager Lee Morris has handed development team striker Harrison Mercer a chance with the first team.
