Nostell Miners Welfare maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign by beating Shirebrook Town 4-1 – their fourth win in five league matches.

Ian Walker’s side had to come from behind to claim the three points as captain Joe O’Neill headed into his own net in the second minute.

Anee Younis’ rocket free kick brought Nostell level at the break.

Nostell never looked back in the second half.

Defender Alex Haigh scored from a corner to give Nostell the lead for the first time literally straight after half-time.

A long range Nathan Hawkhead effort increased Nostell’s lead to 3-1 before striker Danny Edwards added the fourth.

Armthorpe Welfare were well beaten in a 7-2 defeat to Brigg Town.

Reece High and Jack Wilson were the Armthorpe goal-scorers.

Golcar United’s Daniel Naidole

High-flying Golcar United won 5-3 at Garstang.

Ash Flynn and Daniel Naidole both got doubles and Joe Skarz chipped in with one.

FA Cup Preliminary Round replays

Maltby Main gave absolutely everything but lost 1-0 at Carlton Town.

Jamie Austin was sent off late-on after a scuffle.

Three late goals took the game away from Eccleshill United in the 5-1 defeat at Charnock Richard.

Luke Aldrich scored again to give Eccleshill hope at 2-1.
