Nathan Keightley got the goal as ten man Penistone Church finally recorded their first victory of the campaign at the sixth attempt.
Keightley netted from the edge of the penalty area in the 1-0 win at Albion Sports.
The win still contained some squeaky bum moments as Danny Howes saw red following a challenge.
That meant Penistone had to play the last 22 minutes with ten men.
Penistone now have a week off before the home derby clash against Athersley Rec.
