Jimmy Whitehead’s Athersley Rec almost picked a precious win but Barton Town equalised late-on to draw 2-2.

The Rec are now on four points after the stalemate which saw Muhamet Gashi place them ahead in the 11th minute.

Taron Hare drew Barton level before half-time.

Defender Connor Johnson then put Athersley into the lead on the hour.

However, the win was not to be as Tom Davie netted from Curtis Bateson’s corner.

Hass Gorji rescued a very late point for Garforth Town who had to battle back from 2-0 down against Goole AFC in atrocious conditions.

Josh Dacre scored a penalty and worldie free kick to give Goole a fast start.

The second half saw Jed Zanos place Garforth back into it before Goriji’s late tap-in.

Will Jackson was the hero for Thackley who moved up to sixth with a 2-1 defeat of AFC Mansfield at Dennyfield.

The victory was Paddy McGuire’s side’s second in a row.

Jackson hit the winner in the 84th minute after Ben Grech-Brooksbank’s opener had been cancelled out.

Two goals from Max Tweddle helped Emley win 3-2 against Albion Sports at the Welfare Ground.

Matt Sykes also converted a penalty.

Danny Facey and Finn Donovan netted for Albion.

In Division One, Swallownest lost 2-1 at Shirebrook Town.

Alex Lill brought Swallownest level but Shirebrook’s Nathan Jessop doubled his tally with a late double.
