The scene after the fracas at the abandoned Hemsworth Miners Welfare clash with Penistone

The abandoned clash between Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Penistone Church is to be replayed later this month.

The sides will meet again in Fitzwilliam on Tuesday 30th November.

The infamous match was brought to an early halt back in early October after a lone-ranger spectator went for red carded Penistone striker Kieran Ryan in the tunnel area around the 70th minute.

The isolated fracas was over within two or three minutes but the referee blew the final whistle straightaway.

Relegated-threatened Hemsworth were leading 3-1 at the time and well on their way to three precious points.

There was a fear at the time from Hemsworth boss Shane Kelsey that his club could be deducted points.
