High and Keightley get doubles in Penistone’s impressive win

Penistone Church striker Reece High

Reece High and Nathan Keightley got doubles as Penistone Church bounced back from a defeat to impressively win 4-0 at Staveley Miners Welfare.

Church were in control at the break as they were two up.

Returning star left-back James Young crossed for Keightley to score the opener in the eighth minute.

High then got his name on the score-sheet with a magnificent header.

The game was over just three minutes into the second half as High broke from deep and finished with a superb low finish.

High turned supplier in the final ten minute as he crossed for Keightley to score.

Kane Swinburn scored twice for Hemsworth Miners Welfare

Hemsworth Miners Welfare were denied a precious win after Lewis Waddington’s late equaliser for Thackley in the 3-3 draw in Bradford.

The topsy-turvy game saw Kane Swinburn put Hemsworth ahead.

Thackley responded through Waddington and Owen Murphy who gave them a 2-1 half-time lead.

Jakub Hebda and Swinburn restored Hemsworth’s lead in the second half but Waddington had the last word.
